Young Athlete & City Hall
The bronze statue "The Young Athlete" in front of the Theseus Temple in Volksgarten and the City Hall in the background last Sunday late in the afternoon. It wasn't as chilly as it looks in this photo.

Bicycle Parking
In Vienna you have to lock your bicycle carefully to make sure that it is not stolen. As I don't want to take a risk, I never leave my bicycle outside... Other people choose to attach their bicycle to the fence of a park. Unfortunately you can't see that it is installed at breast height. Maybe the owner thinks that it better blends in with the leaves this way...

Still Bundled up
The roses in Volksgarten are still bundled up in burlap bags to be safe from cold damage.

Winter Trees
Last Sunday the weather was rather varied - clouds and snowfall alternated with sunshine, only the chilly wind lasted the whole day through. I took a short walk to enjoy the last sunrays of the day and to take this picture in Volksgarten.

Put Your Wool Hat on
Somebody was worried that the "The Young Athlete", a bronze statue in Volksgarten might have cold and gave him a wool hat. Very thoughtful!

Rust & Ivy
It's funny how sometimes the "little things" catch your eyes... On Sunday this was the case with the iyy and the rusty fence of Volksgarten.

Studying in the Park
I can read a magazine or a book in a park, but I'm easily distractible and could never study like this young man in Volksgarten.

An Afternoon in the Park
It seems as if spring has finally sprung: the last few days were warm and sunny and the trees were budding. On Sunday afternoon I walked across the Volksgarten where a lot of people were enjoying the beautiful weather. By the way, the white building in the background is the Theseus Temple.

Does This Look Like Spring?
I took this photo yesterday afternoon in the Volksgarten. Look at those icicles! Spring, where are you?... By the way, this fountain was created by the German-Austrian sculptor Anton Dominik Ritter von Fernkorn in 1866.

Theseus Temple #3
My last Sunday afternoon walk led me to the Volksgarten and the still immaculate white Theseus Temple.

Painting in The Park
Some people (me) walk hastily through the Volksgarten, some others (this girl) take the time to paint...

Theseus Temple #2
When I recently passed by the beautifully renovated Theseus Temple in Volksgarten, I couldn´t resist taking another photo. In the background you can see the spire of the Minorite Church.

The Young Athlete
This bronze statue of a young athlete (1921) by Josef Müllner is located in front of the Theseus Temple in Volksgarten. With the current iciness he must be freezing...
