In springtime the Setagaya Park, a japanese garden in the 19th district, is a real feast for the eyes with its blooming Japanese cherries and Magnolias.

Two times a year the Setagaya Park in the 19th district is a special feast for the eyes: in spring when the trees are blooming and in autumn when the leaves are changing.

Japanese Tea House

The Setagaya Park was designed in the traditional Japanese style and therefore also has a tea house. The Setagaya district in Tokyo is a sister district of Vienna's 19th district where this park is located.

After the long winter it seems as if nature is now "exploding" - blossoms wherever you look as you can see in this photo taken last Sunday in the Setagaya Park, a park created in the traditional japanese style (several ponds and streams, densely-planted garden elements). The name of the park derives from the Setagaya district in Tokyo, a sister district of Vienna´s 19th district.

Reading in The Park

I´m admiring people who do their reading in a park. I don´t have the necessary peace of mind and let myself easily distract from the things going on around me. This young boy chose the Setagaya Park for his reading.

The name of the park derives from the Setagaya district in Tokyo, a sister district of Vienna´s 19th district. The current blooming season is the perfect moment to take a walk in this park.
