Red Ribbon
Last Saturday the AIDS charity event Life Ball took place at the City Hall (as I told you here). As a sign of tolerance the Parliament was decorated with a huge red ribbon.

Sign of Solidarity
Last Saturday the Life Ball, one of the biggest AIDS charity events in the world took place for the 22nd time at the Vienna City Hall. The Life Ball is an exuberant festivity with extraordinary performances and makes a loud statement in the fight against HIV and AIDS. As a sign of solidarity the Parliament was decorated with a huge red ribbon.

Pallas Athena
The Goddess of Wisdom, Athena, dominates the fountain in front of the Parliament. The fountain was erected between 1893 and 1902 by Carl Kundmann, Josef Tautenhayn and Hugo Härdtl, based on the plans by Baron von Hansen.
