Mölker Bastei

Today Mölker Bastei is an address in the city center, but from 1531 until 1861 it was a bastion of the city wall.  With the demolition of the city wall, the bastion was also destroyed. A small part of the area was not inclined, and in 1871 a supporting wall was erected.

Mölker Steig

These steps are a part of Mölker Steig, an alley in the city center. The names derives from the adjacent Mölkerbastei, a former bastion of the city walls.

Mölkerstiege

The Mölkerstiege is located in the city center and leads up to the Mölker Bastei which is a former part of the Viennese bastions and was built in 1536, then later rebuilt in 1656 and worn out from 1861 to 1872.
