The works on the Donau City Tower, designed by Dominique Perrault, are advancing speedily (Click here for a photo of the construction site in June 2011). Standing 220m tall, the DC Tower will be Austria´s highest building. The adjacent 100m tall skyscraper "Neue Donau" (the white building in this photo), designed by Harry Seidler and opened in 2002, now looks rather unspectacular.
So they ruin the Vienna skyline too?
ReplyDeleteHave to agree with Fabrizio, unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, some cities can't grow wide and start to grow high
ReplyDeleteSkyscrapers can have their own beauty also. I don't have a problem with them although I prefer the older buildings.
ReplyDeleteI wish Paris had more skyscrapers...it's such a flat city.
