I took this photo in the first week of the exit restrictions when the situation was still very new and felt strange. This girl was listening to some music with her earphones and dancing alone on the banks of the Old Danube, lost to the world... A good symbol for today: it's my birthday and I guess this time it will be a very special day...
In Austria we currently don't have a curfew, but exit restrictions. We can still take a walk, but only alone or with our housemate(s) and keeping a distance of at least 1m to all other individuals - our politicians think this is good for our mental health. We'll see if this will change with the increasing number of infections. I love to move so I'm glad to be able to get some fresh air... This photo was taken the day before yesterday during my walk along the Old Danube.
During my vacation the winter break of the boats came to an end. It's good to see them back in the water!

The results of the study in 2019 once again gave Vienna top marks and made it the most livable city in the world for the tenth time in a row! The survey compares the political, social and economic climate, medical care, education, and infrastructure conditions such as the well-developed public transportation network, power and water supply. It also takes into consideration recreational offers such as restaurants, theaters, cinemas, sports facilities, the availability and high quality of all kinds of consumer goods, as well as nature and environmental conditions.

Last Saturday I took a detour to the Old Danube before running errands and noticed that it was partially frozen.
When I saw the first people who took a swim in the Old Danube during the winter season, I couldn't believe my eyes. Now I'm used to this sight, but I still don't understand them. I can't even take a cold shower (not even in summer)...
I ended the old year with a walk along the Old Danube and that's exactly how I started the new year although it was a very cloudy and stormy day.
