Sweet Farbergé Egg

The Kunsthistorisches Museum is currently showcasing the seminal work of the foremost Russian jeweller and goldsmith at the turn of the 20th century: Peter Carl Fabergé. Four Imperial Easter eggs form the centre of the show. The K.u.K. ("Imperial and Royal") Court Confectionery Bakery Demel created an oversized sugar mass version of "The Memory of Azov Egg" and displays it in one of its windows.

  1. Gorgeous shot of a gorgeous subject!

  2. Obviously that baked version's too pricy to eat!

  3. oh! how i wish it was showcased last winter.
i would've love to see the works of Faberge.
