Donauturm

The 252m high Donauturm, one of Vienna´s landmarks, was opened in April 1964 on the occasion of  the Vienna International Garden Show. Two high-speed elevators transport passengers to the tower´s observation deck at 150m which also bears a bungee-jumping site. Two rotating restaurants (at 160m and 170m) offer a beautiful view of the city and its environs.

  1. Vrenni, thank you very much for all your shots around Vienna. The next time I'm there I'll be looking out for some of the places you have photographed. This particular one looks interesting though I suspect that anyone with a sensitive stomach might not manage with the rotating restaurants!
