A Sign of Tolerance
For the start of the Eurovision Song Contest the usual single, gender-neutral figures of the traffic lights at 120 pedestrian crossings in central Vienna have been replaced by male or female gay couples to show the city's open-mindedness. Originally they should be removed in June, but due to the positive public reaction and an online petition the city of Vienna decided that they would become a permanent fixture.
And it is a good sign- progress of humanity and civil rights. Despite what some backward thinkers believe.
